A software middleman (API)

We depend on someone/something in every part of our life.  We always need a middleman to solve our purposes. How is the middleman involved in our daily life?

  1. We need toothbrushes to clean our teeth.

  2. We need a grocery store to buy groceries.

  3. We need utensils/stove to cook our food.

  4. We need teeth to chew food.

  5. We need mobile phone/communication channels to connect with someone not next to us.

  6. We need a mode of transportation to commute to work/travel.

  7. We need a place to sleep.

  8. We need shelter to stay.

  9. We need banks for financial transactions.

  10. We need hospitals to access healthcare services and many more…

In everyone’s life, we need something/someone to complete our needs. Similarly, every system/software requires a middleman to communicate with other systems or software. It generally refers to this software middleman as an Application Programming Interface (API). Do we really correlate our technical knowledge with our everyday life? If the answer is no, then do it from now. It makes our life and work easier. Relating everything to daily activities makes the knowledge from the conscious mind into our subconscious mind which does not require anything to understand/learn the same repeatedly.

By making these connections between technical concepts like APIs and everyday activities, we can deepen our understanding and appreciation for technology's role in our lives. It also highlights the importance of efficient communication and intermediaries in facilitating transactions and interactions, both in the digital world and the real world.
